How to Tell if Your Pet is Spoiled (Hint: They Are!)

We all love to tell people "My pet is not spoiled," but then we go and make them dinner, buy them personalized toys, and let them sleep on our pillow. Sound familiar? You are not alone.

This blog isn’t here to call you out.

It’s just here to confirm how loved (and yes, spoiled) your pet really is.

While you read, count how many of these apply to you. If it's three or more, you have a very happy pet.

1. There is a bed in every room

Does your pet have a bed for the living room, the bedroom, and maybe even the hallway?

Do they still end up across your blanket anyways for sleeping?

If their comfort is taken into account in every space of your home, then yes, please keep reading.

2. You Put Time Into Making Their Meals

You incorporate wet food, heat up meals, and even change the plate it’s served in depending on the day.

Their mealtime is better balanced and more consistent than your meals.

If you’ve ever said, “they're not in the mood for chicken today," it's official.

3. The Toy Collection Has Storage

Their toys have a box, a shelf, or - if we're being honest - a whole corner of the house.

You rotate toys so you keep their interest, and you even know which toys are their favorites.

You’ve purchased a new toy “just because” more than once.

4. They Own Clothing and Accessories

Your pet has outfits for walks, holidays, or like “photo day.”

There’s a drawer or bag of collars, bandanas, raincoats, or sweaters.

If you've planned an ensemble for them, before even thinking of your own outfit, sorry to say this but they sound spoiled

( well taken care of ).

5. They Get Gifts for no Reason

You buy them treats, toys, or beds on a regular basis for no reason at all.

You go into a store, for you, and come out with something for them.

You celebrate even the smallest things - a new trick, new habits, or just a cute face.

6. Your Phone is Full of Their Pictures

You have whole albums broken down by month, mood, or sleeping position.

90% of your camera roll is pet-related, and you don't even care to hide it anymore.

If your furry friend has their very own social media page, you're on a whole level that we can't even get into.

7. Their Needs Always Come Before Yours.

You have moved and rearranged entire pieces of furniture because they need space.

You have routinely cancelled plans or chose to stay home just to spend time with them.

If they fall asleep on your lap you do not move, even if your leg starts to cramp.
