A beautiful mural of a beloved stray dog, Pikachu, has appeared on a wall behind Clarence Public School in JP Nagar’s Dollars Colony, capturing the hearts of residents across Bengaluru. The portrait, etched in stone, is surrounded by handwritten messages that speak of affection and loss, bringing back memories of a playful pup who became a part of the neighbourhood family.

The mural was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Nithin Kumar, who works at Zerodha, with this simple tribute:

“Walk behind Clarence Public School at Dollars Colony in JP Nagar and you’ll spot something special. A little tribute to a stray dog named Pikachu. People loved him so much they made art for him.”

Many notes were shared on the mural. One heartfelt note on the mural, as reported by Hindustan Times, reads: “Very happy to see that our dearest Pikachu is warming the hearts of so many people. We love him and miss him so much that we created this little shrine for him.”

“Bengaluru has a big heart,” Nithin added to his post, reminding everyone how deeply the city cares about its four-legged residents.

This tribute comes at a time when BBMP has announced a feeding program covering nearly 5,000 strays daily. They have promised a daily meal of chicken rice and egg rice.

Winning hearts across the city and the nation, this mural has won the hearts of many pet parents. Moments like this mural, combined with community efforts, make them proud to be part of Namma Bengaluru.
