Paw Protecc: Pet Shelters Launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore

In one of the best pet-friendly collaborations in a long time, Mars Petcare India has teamed up with Swiggy Instamart to launch Paw Protecc. Their aim is to provide street animals with weather-proof shelters across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Nearly 150 shelters have been installed in these urban centers till date, and they are successfully offering comfort, food, and safety to pets living on the streets.

The shelters are designed to give these animals a safe and dry place to rest and protect themselves from harsh conditions. The effort also supports the Animal Welfare Board of India’s (AWBI) advisory, urging organizations to step up for animal welfare during adverse weather conditions.

In a press conference, said Salil Murthy, Managing Director of Mars Petcare India, said, “The Mars Petcare and Swiggy Instamart Paw Protecc initiative is a result of our common purpose to create a better world for pets. We urge individuals, communities, and organizations to join us in improving the lives of pets and creating a compassionate environment where every pet can lead a healthy and safe life.” 

Nutrition, Outreach, and Community Support for Strays

As a part of the initiative, Mars Petcare and Swiggy Instamart have pledged to provide 20,000 nutritious meals. This large-scale support builds upon Mars Petcare’s long-standing mission of animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
