On the 14th of September, Therpup Dog Cafe in Whitefield hosted their first-ever FurFest. The event ran from 11 am to 5 pm and had a footfall of over 150 pet parents.
The cafe had everything a pet parent could hope for: delicious food, a pool exclusively for the doggos, and plenty of open space for them to run around and play.
There was also an obstacle course where pets and their parents could try challenges you usually see on dog shows or TV. A big highlight was the trampoline, where pet parents hopped on with their pups. The joy on their faces was priceless.

The event was sponsored by Namma Yatri. They created an adorable photo booth using auto cutouts. Pet parents loved posing with their pups “driving” the autos. There was also a live caricature artist sketching portraits of pets with their parents, which made for some treasured keepsakes.
Therpup Dog Cafe had lined up a variety of fun activities that kept both humans and pets on their toes all day. The event was emceed by Dhanush Devang, who kept the energy high and the crowd entertained throughout.

Happy Pet Team At The Event
For us at Happy Pet, this event was extra special. We had our very first stall in Bangalore where we showcased our merchandise. To our delight, our T-shirts were a huge hit and sold out two hours before the event wrapped up. Our Club T-shirt series got so much love that we had to move sales online after stocks ran out. We also pitched our pet parent app to the community and were thrilled to see over 25 new downloads that day.
One of the most insightful takeaways was that nearly 98 percent of pet parents still use notebooks to track their pets’ records. When they learned about our pet parent app, many were excited about shifting to digital tracking. They were especially intrigued by our “Tinder for Dogs” feature, which helps set up playdates for pups.

They have a range of pet foods and accessories. The crowd favorite was their crochet caps. The doggos sure looked adorable in their new crochet headgear.
Their menu includes cakes, pizzas, and burgers for dogs because why should humans have all the fun? They make sure pets are never left out of birthday celebrations or pizza nights. With stores in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Gurugram, they’re quickly becoming a go-to for pet parents.
- Broth and Bones

They make wholesome, nutritious options for pets. With extensive variants of broths to keep your pets hydrated.
- BMK Eco Farms
They offer 100% natural and organic treats made from country chicken, fish, and quail. Their nutrition range is free from preservatives and easily digestible for pets.
- Frostreats

It was heartwarming to see so many pet parents step out on a Sunday to give their pets a memorable outing. Which is often their only day of rest. This is a true reflection of how deeply pet parents care and how much they want to create happy experiences for their furry family members.
Conclusion
All in all, FurFest was a celebration of pets, people, and community. For a first edition, it was a huge success, and we can’t wait to see how it grows in the years to come.
