Elbow and Hip dysplasia:
- Elbow Dysplasia - A condition where the elbow joints become weak, and they experience swelling and lameness in forelimbs, elbow bulging and abnormal gait.
- Hip Dysplasia - When hip bones become loose and cause lameness, limping, and cracking or popping of joints.
This condition can be treated if it is detected early by surgery, pain medication, joint supplements, or weight loss.
Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture: Just like humans they have different ligaments like CCLs and ACL. If the CCL is torn in the Rottweilers due to heavy physical activity, high fat diet or low impact exercise it can be treated by orthopedic surgery, and life long joint supplements.
Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV): This is a serious condition in digs that causes bloating in dogs.
