Dane

Great Danes are also known as ‘gentle giants’ for their gentle and loving nature. These are originally from Germany and are the protectors of the house. These giant dogs with impressive height make good working dogs, equally loving and kind family dogs earning the nickname “Apollo of Dogs”. It is a total joy to live with them, but their size, weight, and strength is not to be taken lightly. 

The Guinness World Records in 2022 has recognized a Great Dane, named Zeus, for being the tallest dog in the world. He is 41 inches tall (and over 7 feet while standing on the hind limbs).

They are one of the biggest dog breeds in the world. They need homes with larger spaces and they need regular exercise.
