APACHE'S DUST ON CLOWN

The Miniature Pinscher came to be known as the 'Reh Pinscher' in Germany. The breed was named after a small red deer found in the region. 

They were first exhibited in German dog shows in 1863 and were registered in the German Kennel Club’s stud book in the late 19th century.

As opposed to what many believe, Miniature Pinschers are not mini Dobermans. Instead, they were believed to be the descendants of the Dachshund and Italian Greyhound, with some German Pinscher contribution. 

For a while, they were bred to keep rats under control in farms and homes, and then they became popular for their energetic and confident nature.

How Long Do Miniature Pinschers Live?

Miniature Pinschers are a long lived breed with a lifespan of 12-16 years.

• Miniature Pinschers are bold, energetic and confident. 
• They are known for their high stepping gait and fearless attitude. 
• These are intelligent dogs but can get stubborn, so they need early training and socialization. 
• Given their alert nature, they are excellent watchdogs but wary of strangers.
