The Pet Industry's Next Big Leap: Our Journey at IIPTF
In this blog, I take you through my IIPTF Delhi journey, the people I met, the insights I gained, and how it validated what we’re building at Happy Pet.

Delhi was buzzing, and for me, it wasn't just the August heat. It was the thrill of finally showing off what we'd been building at Happy Pet for almost two years. The IIPTF, India's biggest B2B trade fair for the pet industry, felt like the perfect stage. We weren't just bringing one idea; we were bringing a whole connected world for pets and pet businesses.

It was the unveiling of an entire interconnected world designed to simplify pet parenting and empower pet businesses.
Happy Pet Business Offerings
Our offerings are in four verticals, each serving a crucial purpose:
Happy Pet Care

This is our consumer platform, a vibrant hub or a portal, where pet parents can effortlessly discover trusted services, trusted information, essential products, the latest news, and invaluable insights from across the pet industry. It’s about building a community of informed and happy pet parents.
Happy Pet – Pet Parent Mobile App

Imagine a one-stop solution for every dog and cat owner. This mobile app allows them to manage medical records, set crucial reminders, keep pet diaries, book services with ease, and even explore nearby stores offering home delivery. It’s designed to make pet care simple, organized, and, most importantly, joyful.
Happy Pet Tech

This is our B2B SaaS platform, easy business management software for pet businesses. It empowers them with robust tools for inventory management, streamlined billing, comprehensive CRM, and innovative customer engagement strategies.
Happy Pet Shop

Want to wear your love for your pet on your sleeve? Our merch is made just for that. From breed-specific club T-shirts (our bestsellers) to designs for not only dog parents but also cat, bird, and fish lovers. We’ve got something for every pet parent.
Together, these platforms work as one big team, making pet parenting easier and helping businesses grow smoothly.
My Delhi Experience

The main exhibition was on August 23rd and 24th, but my trip to Delhi started earlier. I really wanted to meet the industry veterans, people who've been in the pet business for more than 20 years. Delhi is where all the big decisions are made; it's home to the CEOs, Directors, and Business Heads of the pet world.
Traveling around Delhi in autos and taxis, I had some really eye-opening meetings with leaders from big retail chains. What I learned was quite surprising: the pet industry, as passionate as it is, is still quite old-school when it comes to technology. Most businesses are still using paper and Excel sheets for almost everything. This wasn't a problem; it was a huge opportunity. It showed me that what we were building at Happy Pet wasn't just a nice-to-have, but something the industry truly needed.
IIPTF
Right after those important meetings, it was time for the PID conference – the Pet Industry Dialogue. This is a special event where top industry leaders come together to talk about new trends and the future of pet care. Big names from companies like Heads Up For Tails, Just Dogs, Royal Canin, and Walmart were there, sharing their thoughts. Huge thanks to Mr. Binoy Sahee, Ms. Linda Hawke, and their team for putting together the 6th edition of PID.
I was actually invited to speak on a panel about "The Role of Pet Professionals in Shaping The Future of Pet Care Businesses in the Country." My role was to bring a fresh, tech-focused perspective. Being newer to the pet industry, I see things a bit differently.

For me, technology isn't just a tool; it's the foundation for real growth and progress in the pet sector. We're really proud to be one of the first and only companies focusing on this tech-driven approach. The discussion was lively, and the audience seemed genuinely interested in what we had to say. After a lot of networking, I definitely felt like I became "the new tech guy" in the room, which was pretty cool!
Then came the main show at Pragati Maidan. We had a spot in the start-up pavilion, and I'm not kidding when I say, Sanketh (our Partnerships Manager) and I were swamped! Every single business visitor who stopped by our booth was incredibly excited about what we were building. We spent two whole days doing back-to-back demos and helping new businesses get started with our platforms. It was a really successful event for us.

The biggest issues we heard from almost everyone were about not having a strong online presence and struggling with messy, unorganized operations. This is exactly where Happy Pet shines. happypet.tech helps businesses get organized and efficient, while happypet.care gives them that vital digital presence by connecting them with pet parents. We realized we were directly solving their biggest pain points.
Leaving Delhi, there was a fantastic feeling of validation. It wasn't just about the new connections or successful demos; it was the strong sense that we're on the right track with something really big, not just for India, but potentially worldwide.
If you're in the pet business, IIPTF is definitely the place to be. For a company that's only a year and a half old, we're so happy and thankful to be recognized by the whole country. This is just the beginning, and the future of pet care, powered by smart technology, looks incredibly promising!
Conclusion
Walking away from Delhi, I felt proud and validated — our vision at Happy Pet is exactly what the industry needs. From pet parents to businesses, we’re building a connected, tech-driven future in pet care. This is just the start, and the journey ahead looks exciting!
